DESYN MASIELLO|BALANCE 008

Stomp - VARIOUS - MIXED BY DESYN MASIELLO|BALANCE 008: ~BALANCE 008|MIXED BY DESYN MASIELLO~

With its already impressive list of DJs such as Chris Fortier, Phil K & James Holden , the Balance series continues to evolve and surprise with each new release, and the latest installment from UK rising star DESYN MASIELLO is no exception.Incorporating classic, deep, tech, funky and progressive house in his sets, Desyn's unique musical taste and boundless enthusiasm is captured in all its groovy glory across two discs in what may be the most awe-inspiring volume of the acclaimed mix series so far: Balance 008. Features tracks and remixes from Orbital, Francois K, Moloko, Joey Negro, Soulsearcher, Killing Joke, Will Saul, Coburn, Ellen Allien, and more.
Desyn Masiello is one of the very few DJ’s in recent years that has stood out and caught the ear of some of the worlds largest DJs ( with Deep Dish, Sander K and Danny Howells nominating him as their 'future DJ Hero' in DJ Magazine's Top 100 poll). With many established DJs and newcomer DJs leaning towards a particular style and musical range many are pigeon holed into a 'genre' of music. Desyn, however, has managed to establish his own sound that crosses boundaries and makes difficult to categorize.

Amazing two disk set that I can not remove from my changer. Disk two opens full of memories with Orbital's - Halcyon On + On. The building sound and club feel of Disk one is a sharp and welcome contrast. I highly recommend listening if, like me, you are searching for an exciting new, yet nostalgic, sound.

AllPeers Is The FireFox "Killer App"

I found this article about the new AllPeers extension for Mozilla FireFox on digg and thought it was cool. It basically turns your web browser into a file sharing app through the use of RSS and Bittorrent technology. Very cool idea that makes sharing media like pictures and movies across a multi-computer household network a cinch. Just think: your in your living room on your multimedia PC and you want to show everyone the latest pictures off of your home office computer. Now all you need to do is open your web browser. Check out techcrunch's take on the new FireFox extension.
